City of Bridgeport Veteran Affairs : Town of Bridgeport

The Town of Bridgeport transportation program offers a free service for older adults in the community. This program operates via buses or trains with shared ride options along fixed routes. Scheduled pickups are available twice daily, departing from the Veteran’s Affairs Office at 9:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., with return trips from the V.A. Hospital back to Bridgeport at 1:30 p.m. and

Connecticut Veterans’ Property Tax Exemptions Program

The CT Veterans’ Property Tax Exemptions program can help you lower the amount of property tax you pay. You may get help from this program if you are a homeowner, you are an honorably discharged veteran, and you have at least a 10% service connected disability. If you are a surviving spouse of a veteran (who has not remarried), you may also be able to get help from this program
